Suicide
Before it's too late
If you are looking at this site, you may perhaps be considering suicide yourself. Today, more teens die by suicide than by any other means and the numbers continue to grow. Most victims of suicide don't want to die; they simply want the pain they are feeling to end! We know Brandon did not want to die on that beautiful summer afternoon; the pain he was feeling was just too much to bear. We are all ingrained with a 'fight or flight' response and sometimes it just seems too overwhelming and difficult to face our constant battles with inner-peace and acceptance. I will never hug my son again, but I can pray his story reaches those who need it the most! I can continue to talk about suicide and the subsequent torment those who are left behind live with. I can continue to let people know it is okay to talk about this issue, it is okay to have these feelings; it is okay to ask for help when you need it! Brandon could have asked for help, it was all around him. He chose not to, and it is now too late for him. It is not too late for you!! As a mother who lives daily with the loss of my beloved son to suicide, I can only ask that you try to talk to someone first if you are even considering ending your own life; a pastor, a local support group, or even some stranger you may meet through a suicide prevention website. You can even contact us through this website if you feel you have nowhere else to turn. Anyone who has lived through the death of a loved one by suicide can attest to the horrid and gut-wrenching feeling that just never seems to go away. There are numerous resources available to anyone contemplating this final act and we ask that if you are considering ending your life you at least owe it to yourself to check out these websites.
